Pivotal Health Care Supports One of Its Own
Last month, Leslie Walker, the activity director for Prairie Vista Village, found out she had stomach cancer. Leslie has worked at Prairie Vista Village since October 24, 2014, and since that time, the residents have come to love Leslie and care deeply for her. She interacts daily with independent living and assisted living residents, and they have nothing but great things to say about her.
So the Prairie Vista Village management team decided to do a surprise support movement. They sold “Prairie Vista Strong, Team Leslie” t-shirts for $20 each and donated the money to Leslie and her family. Not only did Pivotal Health Care and Prairie Vista Village buy t-shirts to join the movement, but Kennybrook Village, Leslie’s family, boyfriend, and his coworkers purchased the t-shirts too. Altogether, Leslie was given about $8,000 for medical expenses.
